Here are the most frequently asked questions regarding Vine Helper as it stands!
No.
As mentioned in our About page, Vine Helper does not access your Amazon account, your Amazon profile, or the sensitive personal information associated with your Amazon account.
The Vine Customer ID displayed on the 'Account' tab of Amazon Vine was added to provide you with additional information that is readily available in the source code of the same page. Vine Helper does not query to gain access to it, and it certainly does not store or use it on Vine Helper servers. In fact, Vine Helper goes to great lengths to protect and preserve user anonymity via the UUID system which is randomized, even for each devices that a user uses.
Vine Helper's scripts are limited to run only on the Amazon Vine website and the review page associated with it. For greater certainty and clarification, Vine Helper does not run on any other parts or pages of Amazon.
As an open-source project, you are always welcome to check the codes on Github, and you can verify the manifest.json files for details on where the scripts are allowed to run.
Yes, partially.
The only IP addresses the Vine Helper works to store are for accounts related to suspicious activities, reported accounts, accounts triggering hacking-detection measures, accounts triggering anti-API-tampering measures, and more.
Normal users do not get their IP stored in the Vine Helper databse.
For additional transparency, the server does keep IPs in various log files, just like how any other server would. This is in no relation to how Vine Helper operates.
No.
Vine Helper has absolutely NO ability to alter Amazon's prices. Vine Helper cannot inject codes into Amazon's servers, nor does it have any ability to alter Amazon's servers or its data therewithin. There are no such thing as "coupons" or "discounts" that can be applied to ETV, and it will remain as displayed.
No.
Vine Helper works off of using the data that was "seen" by the browser when its users are naturally browsing Vine.
Basically, think of Vine Helper as a companion that looks at the same things that you do on Vine, and takes notes on certain details (such as ETV or when the item was first seen). Vine Helper then shares the data it found with the community to improve everyone's experience.
Core principles of Vine Helper include keeping the user navigation and dynamically loaded elements unchanged, and therefore, Vine Helper cannot navigate for you, and it certainly does not (and will not) automate anything involving interactions between the user and Amazon's servers.
No.
As you may already be well aware, the 'Silver' status has a 3-item limit whereas the 'Gold' status has an 8-item limit. These are strictly Amazon Vine's rules, and the Vine Helper has no ability to influence such restrictions.
No.
Vine Helper cannot add items to your RFY queue. The items on Vine (RFY or not) are provided from Amazon, and Amazon only.
No.
Vine Helper cannot and will not auto-refresh pages. That is considered to be a 'bot behavior' and against Amazon's Terms of Service (TOS). Vine Helper is determined to fully comply with Amazon's Conditions of Use as well as Terms and Conditions set out for the Amazon Vine program.
Vine Helper is here to make the Vine experience more pleasant for consumers, but it will not act in ways that circumvent the underlying participation requirements or contravene the Terms and Conditions set out for the members of the Amazon Vine program.
While we cannot guarantee that you will not get banned, so far, out of the 3,000+ members that use it daily, no one has gotten banned.
This is a common point of misconception where some members of the Vine community believe that use of an extension is strictly and explicitly forbidden on Amazon Vine. There is no evidence to support that it is. So far, since Vine Helper's inception in January of 2024, no one that uses Vine Helper has gotten banned from the Amazon Vine program as a result of using the extension.
No.
Once again, auto-ordering items is considered to be a 'bot behavior' and against Amazon's Terms of Service (TOS). Vine Helper does not (and will not) participate in anything that contradicts Amazon's Terms of Service, so therefore, Vine Helper cannot auto-order items for you. You will still have to click on the button to order items manually, and as intended.
No.
Vine Helper is not an artificial intelligence tool, and does not incorporate any artificial intelligence in its abilities as an extension. Vine Helper does not have any ways to test products or write reviews on your behalf. You will still have to do that by yourself.
No.
