The error "Failed to play Sound" is displayed when the browser refuses to play a sound. Modern browsers have been creating complex logic and permissions about sounds to prevent websites from playing unwanted sounds to the user when they are not interacting with the system. This has a big impact on alerts because the user is not clicking on the screen when Ultraviner is trying to play sounds. There are a few ways to minimize the quantity of messages that you receive:
- Open main menu > Settings
- Privacy and security
- Scroll down to Additional content settings
- Sound
- Check the option "Sites can play sound"
- In the customized behaviors, at the list "Allowed to play sound" click on "Add"
- Write the URL of the amazon website from your country. Example: amazon.com
- Open main menu > Settings
- Privacy and security
- Site and SHields Settings
- Scroll down to Additional content settings

- Open main menu > Settings
- Scroll down to "Site Settings"
- Site permissions
- Scroll down to "Content" > "Sound"
- Check the box "Sound - Allow sites to play sound (recommended)"
I couldn't find a way to allow autoplay without user iteraction. If you want to keep your iPhone/iPad open and showing alerts with sound, click on the queue Mute/Unmute icon and it will play a click sound. After this initial click sound, your device will allow Ultraviner to play alerts without interruption. This has to be done every time you switch websites or apps if you want to prevent the "Failed to play sound" from showing.
In case iOS refuses to play the sound you will be presented with the "Failed to play Sound" screen. By tapping on it you will re-authorize the system to play sounds.
